Antiwar songs by Bill Prince

I am a songwriter, guitarist, and singer of Traditional and Modern Folk Songs. I first got interested in English Folk Music in the mid-1970s, when I went to a singaround club at the Fleur-De-Lys in Bedford. I heard there for the first time English and Scottish ballads and songs, and I was immediately hooked.
Before long I got involved in running Folk clubs in Bedford. Our policy was always to book good quality acts, whether famous or less so, and for six years the New St. George FC was one of the best clubs in the area, supported by a couple of very good singaround clubs.
Soon I started writing songs as well as performing Traditional material. After a while some of my songs were picked up by other performers, such as Nick Dow, Mal Waite, Roy Bailey (with and without The Band Of Hope), and Pete Coe's innovative band, Red Shift.
I was by this time playing at clubs and festivals all over the country, and continued to do so until 1994, when a change of day-job brought a change of life-style.
After a prolonged absence from the Folk Scene, I started attending the Great kNight Folk Club in Northampton in 2003, and the following year started performing and writing again after almost 10 years break.
Since then some of my new songs have become "in demand", and the new album, "Peace And Freedom" is in response to the interest shown wherever I've sung them. For reviews see the "Reviews and Feedback" page.
