Canzoni contro la guerra di Didi

Transcript from an interview with Didi:

Hi, I'm Didi I've been playing music in the Derry part of Ireland for longer than I can remember, I'm very old.
I've done the band thing and the pub thing now I just want to do the music thing.

Why this name?

The name Didi is french and has nothing to do with me other than being my name!

Do you play live?

I play arround Inishowen in the summer Ferryport Bar, Drunken Duck, and in the winter 19th hole.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet is the greatest thing ever invented for songwriters. I don't have to search for a PA, venue, studio, just stick it on the web. "No one listens to the web, it's fickle", no one listens to me in 1979 in the Castle Bar at 11 pm because they are all pissed!

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Maybe someday…

Your influences?

Beatles, Dylan, Waits, Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, great country.

Favorite spot?

Rain, Donegal, warm woman, cold eye.

Anything else...?

Just play it!!!!!!

Equipment used:
Home studio, Yamaha keys, Gibson guitar, Boss recorder,
