The VeilsThe Veils are a London based Indie/Alternative rock band fronted by lead singer/songwriter Finn Andrews. The band's sound has been likened to artists like Jeff Buckley, The Birthday Party, The Smiths and Joy Division and their live shows have become famous for emotional intensity and singer's often scarily possessed stage presence. Andrews have probably named the band after the Sylvia Plath poem "A Birthday Present", written in 1962, that repeats the word 'veil' throughout and which is also the title to a song from the second band's LP "Nux Vomica". To support this theory also the band's debut single "Death & Co." borrows its title from a Sylvia Plath peom by the same name.
