Prolific The Rapper

Prolific (the rapper), also known as Aaron "Shawn" Turgeon, is an artist whose work focuses on sound, words, and film. He is of Indigenous heritage, identifying as Mexican, Lakota, and European, and a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. Prolific the rapper sees artists as having a unique role in society, particularly in the context of modern culture's focus on entertainment. He was active in the NoDAPL Indigenous resistance movement. He is currently based out of Rapid City, South Dakota.
