Nikos Roubanis
Nikos Roubanis , composer (born 1880 in Nafplion, Greece - died 1968 in Athens, Greece). He is known within the American Greek Orthodox Church for the Divine Liturgy hymnal he wrote in the 1940's, featuring 4-part SATB music. Outside sacred music, he is best known as the composer of the popular song "Miserlou" (or "Misirlou").
