Phil MorrisonBassist/composer Phil Morrison - of Boston, played with saxophonist Sam Rivers while developing as a bassist. The group had pianist Hal Galper, drummer Tony Williams or Steve Ellington and Phil Morrison.

Some years later, The Stark Reality was formed with vibist Monty Stark, John Abercrombie - guitar, Vinnie Johnson - drums & Phil - bass. A cd "Now" by Stark Reality was re-released in 2003 by Stone's Throw Records & much of its music was sampled by hip hop & pop groups such as Black Eyed Peas.
Phil joined pianist/singer Freddy Cole (youngest brother of Nat), co-writing a song with Freddy called "He Was The King". Phil also played with Dizzy Gillespie & now writes & plays music
influenced by his visits to China, Japan and Brazil.
