"I was motivated to write and perform this song when the company I worked for went bankrupt, I was forced to leave my apartment, not able to pay the rent, and I was left homeless, living in my compact Mazda 323 car. One morning I was listening to the radio and wrote "One Love, One World" after being horrified about the number of innocent children being killed every day in senseless acts of violence around the world.
I realized my life wasn't so bad in comparison. A few months later I saw a news report on schools in the Middle East and other areas of the world where elementary school students were being taught hatred in the classrooms by their teachers.
