Canto della Gioventù Verso l'Alba, o La Giovane Guardia | Towards the Dawn [The Young Guard] |
| Towards dawn All of you comrades in arms! Soon you will be victorious everywhere Soon the enemy's parapet will vanish Go ahead with force and keep pace! Young workers, if you want to be in it. |
| We are the young guard Of the proletariat! We are the young guard Of the proletariat! In the dark years of our childhood We have experienced already What socage work can be And we aged early It jangled on our foot The chain that's only getting heavier |
| Rise up, young guard Of the proletariat! Rise up, young guard Of the proletariat! Work can teach us And it taught us the strength To increase the wealth That creates our poverty Now we recognize that strength Is the strongest weapon in our hands! |
| Strike, young guard Of the proletariat! Strike, young guard Of the proletariat! We give you our hands Comrades, for an alliance! There'll be no end to the fighting Until everywhere around us The free working people have won And every enemy lies on the ground |
Avanti, giovane Guardia Del Proletariato! Avanti, giovane Guardia Del Proletariato! | Forwards, young guard Of the proletariat! Forwards, young guard Of the proletariat! |
