Bevetti il mio caffè del mattino e non ebbi nessun orrido presentimento.	Je bois mon café du matin et je ne pressens aucune inquiétude.
Suonò il campanello. Di nuovo non avvertii il male avvicinarsi.	On sonne. Je ne pressens toujours rien d'inquiétant.
Il postino mi consegnò una lettera. Non sentii trepidazione, la aprii.	Le facteur m'apporte une lettre. Je l'ouvre sans aucune inquiétude..
Non recava nessuna orribile notizia.	Il n'y a rien d'inquiétant dedans.
“Aaahhh!”, urlai. Le mie sensazioni non mi avevano ingannato.	« Ha ! », m'exclamé-je. Mon pressentiment ne m'a pas trompé.
