Tous les "bandits" du panthéon des Gangs ne me sont pas sympathiques – mais peut-être les bandits n'existent-ils pas sans temps et chaque temps a les bandits qu'il mérite. Pourtant, il me semble important que, citant et renversant un ancien slogan antifasciste de Woody Guthrie, les Gangs suggèrent que, comme sa guitare devenait une arme, ainsi il est peut-être de notre devoir de faire que les armes deviennent des guitares.

ma un "outlaw out of time" non sembra che sia un po' in ritardo piuttosto che "senza tempo"?

Carissimo Dubbioso, pur non essendo l'autore della traduzione ti posso dire che l'espressione "out of time" non significa e non ha mai significato "in ritardo"; casomai potrebbe significare "senza tempo" nel senso di non avere tempo per fare qualcosa (si è "out of time" come si è "out of gas", senza benzina insomma). L'espressione significa comunemente, comunque, "fuori dal tempo", è questo il suo significato proprio; oppure qualcosa o qualcuno che "(pro)viene dal tempo" (cfr. il titolo del famoso racconto di HP Lovecraft, The Shadows out of Time, che in italiano si chiama appunto "L'ombra venuta dal tempo"). In questo senso mi sembra comunque che una traduzione del genere ci possa stare. Saluti.

Buongiorno potrei cadere a sproposito ma volevo sapere se aveste informazioni in merito al video musicale di "bandito senza tempo", ad esempio la regia, se gli attori fossero realmente di una compagnia circense o meno. La scelta del video per questa canzone mi ha sempre affascinata ma non riesco a reperire informazioni a proposito.

Non tutti i "banditi" del pantheon dei Gang mi stanno simpatici - ma forse non esistono banditi senza tempo, ogni tempo ha i banditi che si merita. Eppure mi pare importante che, citando e rovesciando un antico slogan antifascista di Woody Guthrie, i Gang suggeriscano che, come la sua chitarra diventava un'arma, così forse è nostro compito far sì che le armi diventino chitarre.
