There’s a ghost
From Sarajevo
At night you’ll see him
standing in the streets
He is painted on a mural
From east London, Paris to Idlib
He is smiling for his people
Forest road to Rennes and then to Kyiv
Catch his eye and hair in the central line
I guess he’s left his mark in me
I wake up in the night
But he is still gone
I walk through the streets
Singing his song
I cry in the night
Cos he is still gone
Tu je duh iz Sarajeva
Drzimo njegov osmijeh sa nama
Nas brat nas posmatra
Molim te obilazi nas zauvijek
(There's a ghost from Sarajevo
We keep his smile with us
Our brother is watching us
Please visit us forever)
There’s a ghost
Here in my temple
Playing tricks and laughing all night long
But I can't make the funeral
I guess you’ll have to stay
with me in song

I wrote this track for my friend Arman Soldin, a beautiful, kind-hearted and talented person who was tragically killed while reporting on Russia's war in Ukraine.
Our grief for him has been deep and hard, but his departure has been marked by such beautiful tributes around the world. All the money I raise from this song will be donated to an orphanage in Zenica, a Bosnian place where Arman lived when he was little. Please donate what you can.
A huge thank you to Arman's mother, Oksana, his brother Sven, sister Ena and father Sulejman for sharing this picture of him on his 2nd birthday and for letting me use it. My thoughts are with you all xx
