0soldier
It started out as just another pretty day
In the pine tree state today..
Watching all of the little children at play
Mom and Dad getting ready for that clam bake

But then they heard a knock at the door
From a man in uniform they had never seen before;
He said: – Mr. & Mrs. McCabe
I've come to inform you that your son has passed away –.

Another soldier died today
The officer tells them of how brave
of a soldier he was and of all of the lives he saved..
While proudly defending the good ole USA
but never see his again will they see his smiling face
to the world he may be a faceless name..

Just two weeks after his twenty first birthdays
He got the call to leave to go to Iraq
He said: – Momma, don't you and Dad worry
'cause before too long I'll be back
And next summer we'll go out and get those fried clams.. –
But today strangers visit sadly changed that
'cause in a few month they'll lay there son in his grave
For friends another soldier died today

Another soldier died today
The officer tells them of how brave
of a soldier he was -and of all of the lives he saved
While proudly defending the good Ole USA

But never see his again will they see his smiling face
To the world he may be a faceless name..
Another soldier died today

But to his mom and dad he was there everything
Another soldier died today
