Transcript from an interview with Thomas J
I was born in 1986. Had some laughs, shed some tears, wrote some songs. My new download only album, Beam Me Up or Put Me Down, is completed and uploaded, you can download it from here (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1A32UVUQ). I hope very much that you like it!
There's also the EP, 'Everything I Have Ever Told You Has Been a Lie', which was recorded in January, and it can all be downloaded on this website. Both of these can be streamed on Grooveshark as well
A while ago I released my first (and only) ever physical release, 'Glorified Failure', available through IFF Transponder Recordings (www.iff-transponder.co.uk).
Anyway, my name is Thomas J and I write and sing songs. If you like what you hear, feel free to spread the word.
Why this name?
You'll have to ask my parents, but I know my dad thinks it's a strong name.
Do you play live?
During brief spells of proactivity, sure.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
More music, more piracy, more executives bitchin' and moanin'. So it's a good thing.
Your influences?
Any music that's executed with some form of what I guess you would call 'passion'. That's passion about the music, not passion about the potential sex, wealth or fame.
Equipment used:
A computer that's always fucking breaking down.
