Don WestDon West (born Donald Lee West) (June 6, 1906 – September 29, 1992) was an American writer, poet, educator, trade union organizer, civil-rights activist. He was a co-founder of the Highlander Center in Tennessee and the founder of the Appalachian South Folklife Center in West Virginia.
