Mark AylingA lifelong drummer, Aberdeenshire based Mark Ayling has
now branched out into the world of acoustic music, playing his
own brand of raw acoustic guitar combined with direct , angry
and uncompromising lyrics.

Discarding the usual Folk/Acoustic influences such as Bob
Dylan and Woody Guthrie, Mark finds his inspiration from
bands as diverse as The Jam, The Specials, Motorhead,
New Model Army, The Clash, Killing Joke and Joy Division,
creating a sound that has the energy of Punk whilst retaining
the melodic elements of the acoustic guitar.

Mark recently started playing live and will be booking more
gigs for 2012. He was invited to play at last year's 'Raise Your Banners' Festival in Bradford as part of the 'Our Lives, Our Stories, Our Songs' concert alongside Justin Sullivan (New Model Army), Robb Johnson and Tracey Curtis
